COACHING

I coach and train with attention, honesty and respect. My clients work on their development and I support them in this. Whether you have a development question on a business or personal level, you have come to the right place.

Methodology

In my coaching I use various systems, including NLP, RET and transactional analysis, so that I can guide you in a flexible way in answering your specific coaching question. What is coaching? According to Whitmore (2002) the essence of coaching is "unlocking one's potential to maximize his performance". The Dutch Order of Professional Coaches (NOBCO) uses the following definition: "Coaching is a structured and goal-oriented process, whereby the coach interactively encourages the coached to act effectively through: awareness and personal growth increasing self-confidence and exploring, developing and applying one's own possibilities Coach and the coachee* each take their responsibility for the process."* the coached can also be understood as meaning : a team that is coached as a unit. NLP As a coach, I make extensive use of insights and techniques from neurolinguistic programming (NLP) in addition to other methods. NLP is a communication and therapy system developed in the 1970s by Richard Bandler and John Grinder. They researched highly successful therapists and discovered the structure of effective communication and effective behavior. Based on this structure, they developed models and techniques with which (the causes of) ineffective behavior and ineffective communication can be broken. NLP is in fact an integration of insights and knowledge from various psychological movements, including Gestalt therapy, transactional analysis, etc. Following Bandler and Grinder, other therapists have developed new techniques and models and are modeling the effective behavior of highly successful individuals for others to learn from. The essence of this model is that each level is influenced by the higher level. For example, if a problem is at the level of observable behavior, the cause is often found in the higher levels. I use the model, among other things, to investigate at what level a client wants to be coached and to check in a structured way what the current situation is. Besides the practical applicability of NLP techniques in coaching, it is also an extremely effective way to essential link between the coach and the client. This emotional mutual involvement is an important condition for a successful coaching process.

Results

The results of a coaching process largely depend on the client's own efforts. after all, you know what is best for you, even if you may not be aware of it now. By asking the right questions, we expose this sometimes hidden knowledge and insights.
